Disco Vic: Artist
Disco Vic is a live art site-responsive, participatory installation premiered at a Manchester club-night during PRIDE 2019.
Disco Vic invited lesbian and queer women to a photoshoot with Queen Victoria, to out a myth and re-position themselves alongside a symbol of power and alienation.
The piece was born out of a 15 month female talent development programme named The Gossips, supported by Heart of Glass. I was one of seven nationally selected artists included in the programme.
Disco Vic is currently evolving for further platforms in 2022.
