Jodie Gibson is a Freelance Creative motivated by the potential of people to create extraordinary shared moments and illuminate new ways of thinking.
Following a 20 year career working within cultural and educational organisations across the UK; programming, producing and managing creative events, venues and projects largely indoors, in 2019 I decided to make a creative leap.
The result: An artistically invigorated Independent Freelance Creative, engaged in a wide range of work with a keen interest in outdoor arts, social change, collaboration, individual & collective empowerment.

I don’t readily assume one identity or follow one direction of travel.
As an Artist & Creative…
I produce innovative, thought-provoking work often built on collaboration, co-production and shared ownership.
I am especially interested in working in the public realm and non-arts spaces.
My practice is informed by many years working in participatory settings and is concerned with social change, co-production and the reimagination of places, spaces and hidden stories that offer new ways of seeing and experiencing the world and ourselves in it.
My work often platforms and elevates the voices and experiences of others, especially those outside of mainstream arts and/or marginalised by wider society. This is informed by my own Welsh working-class background and an understanding of the impact on people, when they are excluded, unseen and unheard within all levels of society.
I am boundlessly inspired by the potential of people and have a keen interest in personal and environmental transformation, change and adaption.
I am responsive and flexible because I understand the multiple ecologies we exist within.
As a Consultant & Trainer…
I excel when working with people to explore creative solutions. Over the years this has included work with multiple cultural and educational organisations in the form of consultancies and the development and facilitation of new training packages and courses. This provision also extends to supporting, enabling and empowering individuals through 1:1 coaching.
Adventurer
I venture locally and globally. In-built for new challenges, travel and exploration, I seek connections with people and cultures that broaden my perspective and understanding. Resultantly, I have developed a mountain of resilience, a canyon of resourcefulness and a deep pool of compassion for people’s lived experiences.
Detective
I seek solutions by listening, being curious, open-minded and sense-making, from that which is and is not presented.
Fire-starter
I delight in igniting personal empowerment in others and encouraging fresh ways of thinking and experiencing the world.
Warrior
I am a goodwill Warrior seeking social change that moves towards a progressive, sustainable and equitable world which attends to all people and the planet with respect and care.
