Legends, Lights & Lullabies: Creative Producer

As Artistic Director for SpareParts Festival, I was delighted to be Creative Producer on an event we brought to the streets and communities of Sandbach in April 2021.

Sandbach residents were invited to engage with this unique, interactive experience in a number of ways.

On Thursday 15 April, selected households across the town received a copy of our specially commissioned bedtime story, Chuck the Trucker. These lucky households were part of the route for Lullaby, a magical illuminated bike parade by Internationally renowned Artist, Luke Jerram.

At dusk on Saturday 17 April residents were invited to watch from their windows as the magic of Lullaby passed by. Music was heard drifting through the streets as a shoal of twinkling lights made their way across the town. Residents were encouraged to engage with the parade by posting their pictures and thoughts online via our social channels.

To complete the event, ‘Sing-a-Story for Sandbach’ invited residents of all ages to join a digital choir to sing a newly commissioned song by Leo & Hyde, providing a further soundtrack for the evening.
